Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant
The OER has funded 71 city and county energy efficiency retrofits and renewable energy projects that were not eligible for direct grants from the Department of Energy. As of September 2012, all projects have been completed.
OER also provided grants to the Association of Idaho Cities, the Idaho Division of Public Works and the Idaho Division of Building Safety. The Association of Idaho Cities has organized and facilitated 2009 IECC training/education sessions across the state as well as the Idaho Energy and Green Building Conference in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The Idaho Division of Public Works has completed an energy efficient retrofit of the Borah Building. Lastly, the Division of Building Safety is developing a statewide building energy code compliance database. Currently, 18 code compliance jurisdictions are participating in a pilot demonstration of the database.
