State of Idaho´s Award for Excellence in Energy Efficiency

This award will recognize up to five facilities that best demonstrate energy efficiency by reducing energy intensity (EI) within their plant. The reductions in EI must correspond with the energy efficiency projects listed in the application or within the attached supporting documentation. A maximum of two facilities per corporation may receive an award, unless no additional applicants qualify. Every facility that applies for this award will also be considered for the Governor´s Award for Leadership in Energy Efficiency.

The award will recognize the facility that goes above and beyond in energy efficiency promotion and implementation. Reductions in energy intensity and other factors will be considered for this award. Examples would include facilities that have initiated new energy management and awareness programs, completed new capital projects, commitment to a long term reduction goals, or participated in regional or national programs, such as the Department of Energy´s Better Buildings, Better Plants Program.
