A utility Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) is a comprehensive study of alternative strategies for meeting the future energy needs of customers. IRPs typically address: supply-side resources (generation), demand-side measures (conservation), planning period load forecasts, potential resource portfolios, risk analysis and near-term and long-term action plans.
